This new release includes standard NAC (network access control) functionality to identify and control managed and unmanaged computers as well as comprehensive endpoint protection - virus, HIPS, firewall, application control and anti-adware - all in a single licence. The intuitive security dashboard gives instant visibility of the protection status on all computers, and fixing problems is as simple as 2 clicks. The software even includes an integrated removal tool to automatically remove another vendor's anti-virus as part of deploying Endpoint Security and Control.

Version 8.0 is now available for download at the Sophos website.
Existing customers of Endpoint Security and Control 7 can upgrade to version 8, as part of their existing licence and at no additional cost. Existing Sophos Anti-Virus customers may purchase an upgrade to Endpoint Security and Control 8.
